When we say Water is Life, it is not far from truth because when you take water away from our lives and you would have a desert - no living being. Why is water so important to us?
Water is made up of two elements namely Hydrogen and Oxygen and combined in in the equation H2O meaning that 2 atoms of Hyrdrogen combined with one of Oxygen to produce water. Water is important to us being a universal solvent as it is needed by plants to grow. We also need water to aid our digestive system, enhance blood circulation and keep us hydrated.
There are a lot of things water does for us and these includes:
- Aiding digestion
- Helping to cool the body
- Helps the body's defense mechanism
- Reduces pain
- Used for bathing
- Useful for planting crops
- Necessary for environmental coolingNowadays, science has even shown that eating more of liquid foods than the solid ones can help you live long and you just can't have liquid foods without water. We take in more water than every other thing else and you would find that when you tend to eat more food and drink water, you are most likely to fall sick over time. Water can even help you get rid of bodily wastes and bacteria or even food poisoning in some cases.
