How to rescue a kidnapped victim

Kidnapping is a growing type of crime in Nigeria and already some states have made them criminal offences punishable by death sentences and C of O revocations. What do you do to help a kidnapped victim especially if it is someone close to you?

Well, here are certain things one can do to free a kidnapped victim.

- Invite Spiritual power: No doubt God can work miracles and help in freeing the person. He could even change the hearts of the kidnappers. So I think the first thing to do in a case of Kidnap is to involve some sort of spirituality to appease God and save the life of the victim. So commit the person to God.

- Invite the police: Dealing with kidnappers alone can be dangerous or even illegal so the best thing to do is to report the crime because it is already a crime - the person has been kidnapped. Don't go it alone even if you eventually decide to pay a ransom.

- Use advanced technology: Nowadays, there are many tracking tools that can be used to track the location of a victim. Most GSM or telephone operators can track sim cards on the go or at least track the location of the last call. If the person wears are GPS tracking device, he can easily be tracked too.

- Pay the ransom: At times, it's best to just pay the ransom. Human life is invaluable and it's best to pay if you have the funds. However it is not good to go beyond your means to pay. Don't go borrowing because it can ruin you. If you can pay, then pay if there is no other way. You can also renegotiate the price if possible.
